I Thought This Was Me...

I found this on the web. I thought it was me. It's not. But if I didn't tell you it wasn't, would you think it was?

Table Read (Moss)

It's official. I'm attending a table read tomorrow at 1pm. Pray for me!

December 11, 2011

Table Read again!

Hey guys, Hopefully, I'm doing another table read for the same role this week. I'm going to take a private lesson with my acting coach to make sure I'm much more prepared than last time. Pray for me to do well because I really want this part and it would be great experience for me. That and I'd have a really nice long scene one on one with the lead talent. The director and writers (Brian Strine and David Hosler) are considering Kiefer Sutherland for the lead. This could add some name value to my own. So please pray for me to get this part (Role-Abigail in the script "Moss"). I would really like some work and experience in my field. Thank you for supporting me. xoxo!

Audition

So I botched the cold read, I was asked to improvise and he loved it when I did. They asked me to come in and audition again with the lines memorized. This will be good. Thanks for caring guys. I hope I get this one. I really like the character.

November 20, 2011

Table Read

The Table Read went very well. I got a lot of positive feedback on my work and they loved me. They're bringing me in for an audition for a different role today. The other role required nudity and Dawn, the wonderful lady who brought me in to read, told him that I don't do that and then suggested me for the role Abigail instead. If they didn't like my work they wouldn't even bother. This is a very good sign and they seemed excited to get me to read for it before the writer has to leave. Pray for me to grasp this new character well. Thank you. Your prayers seem to be working. :)

Managing Cravings

I have been vegan for about 5 months now and I haven't had a craving for about 2 months until now. I just realized it's because I've waiting until 3:30pm to have a proper lunch. Feed yourselves good food! Love you guys. xoxo

See it tonight!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad (Clyde and Patti)! Have fun night out tonight. We love you both :)

Table Read

This Saturday I have a VERY important table read for what I believe is a strong-supporting role in a multi-million dollar film. They're still looking for name value. Name value = better distribution, better distribution = I become more of a name value if I'm in the film. This is how I've heard the pros do it. They don't audition, they table read. A lovely woman in the business named Dawn Krantz called me and invited me to this. She said there's no guarantee but that it's a great opportunity for actors like me. She's one of the producers who is very excited about the project Red Wing and I think she's very interested in my success. This could potentially be another really big boost to build up my career. So if you could please pray for me to do very well at this table read that would really mean a lot to me. Thank you guys for supporting me.

Portobello Mushroom Bowl

This one is really easy, fast, and tasty.

1 Portobello mushroom
Uncle Bens (long grained wild rice)
Olive oil

Preheat over to 400 degrees. Cut stem off mushroom, discard, poke holes in the center of the mushroom, and steam for 5 min. Prepare rice by the instructions with olive oil. Put 1-2 tbs olive oil in cap of mushroom try to spread evenly. Then fill the cap with the finished rice and place in oiled casserole dish and bake for 5 min. Serve and enjoy.

This makes one serving, but the total rice can fill up to 3 caps.

Optional: I sauted some some small diced veggies including red onions, garlic, and peppers and mixed it in the rice and it was delicious.

Seriously good hummus!

I babysit kids every week and my picky 8 year old ate this and liked it.

1 can black beans (with half the leftover juices)
1/2 lemon (all the juices)
1 Tsb. chopped parsley
1 tsp. garlic salt
Bag of Kirkland organic corn chips

place all ingredients (except chips) in blender, blend on low until consistency is like re-fried beans. So delicious.

Chipotle

Hey Guys, I'm really excited for tonight because apparently Chipotle accommodates vegans and vegetarians, with many options. I'm going to have a burrito tonight with fajita vegetables, and still be vegan! YAY! See there special diet info for more details.

Miso soup with Tofu

This has been one of my most recent favorites. I think I've had it for lunch every day this week. Enjoy!

1/2 sweet onion
2 sheets wakme (dried seaweed)
1 portobello mushroom
1 tsp. ginger juice
1 shallot green onion
3 tbs. miso paste
1/2 cup tofu (optional)
3 Tbs. French Fried Onions (optional)

Chop sweet onions 1/2 portobello mushroom and place in pot with 4 cups boiling water and add the wakme. Boil for about 5 min. Grate ginger and pinch between fingers to extract about 1 tsp in soup. Stir miso in soup until it reaches desired flavor. Then strain out all ingredients and save the broth. Set aside desired amount in bowl and add french fried onions. Slice the green onions and some mushroom and add to soup. For tofu, simple dice the tofu and add desired amount, I recommend about 1/2 cup.

I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so, da na na na na na.

Banana Cream Shake

This is one of my favorites that Michael has created. It's so yummy we treat it like dessert, but you can have it all the time. Ha ha. Enjoy!

Makes about 1 serving:
1/4 cup peanut butter (optional)
1 cup vanilla soy milk (We get ours at Costco.)
2 frozen bananas
1 pitted date (optional)
1/2 yellow squash (optional and undetectable)

With all the optional ingredients, just pick one, do not combine unless it's a date with the yellow squash. Place ingredients in blender in order and blend on high just until the top starts moving, about 30 seconds or so. If you add the dates, I like to blend that a little bit first on 7 so their not as chunky in the drink.

Blend less time for banana ice cream, blend more time for banana smoothie. Enjoy.

Healthy for the money.

Apparently, by eating this way we're are cooking much less. We're saving about $75 a month in our gas bill! Our Vitamix at $450 will pay for it's self in 6 months time. "Just checking the math on that. I got the same thing." -Jessie Eisenberg (Social Network, David Fincher favorite quote.)

Here's something that has inspired me in many ways and I thought you might like it. Thanks for reading.

Hale Kids (Caden and Kylie)

Lately every Tuesday I've been picking up the Hale kids (Caden-10 and Kylie-7) from school at 2pm and keep them until about 6:30pm. They're really fun, I'm beginning to think to myself the older the kids get the more I tend to like them. We went home finished and double checked homework, then we went over to play and Megans and Morgans house. (My neighbors that are also Cadens and Kylies friends at school.) There's we got to meet a turtle and they played with that for a while. That was fun to watch them.

I was told that Kylie likes to bake so I told the kids we could make brownies. So we walked to Vons (like a block) and saw some fun stuff along the way, got the eggs (the only animal thing in brownies), then walked home the back way. The back of our buildings look nearly identical. When we first moved in I would count building so I knew which one was mine. Anyway, Caden said something really cute. I asked them if they wanted to guess which one ours was. Kylie guess and Caden said "The correct one." Ha ha.

Sometimes we stop by their house to pick up swimming gear and we saw a squirrel. Kylie said, "That's Frankie, I just named him just now."

Their so funny. Then we came home made the brownies together and baked them, while we watched Kung Fu Panda. Their like little buddies I get to hang out with. Ha ha.

P.S. Kylie wants to be Hanna Montana for Halloween and Caden wants to be his own Dragonball Z character.

Andy Buckely

So Yesterday I met Andy Buckley, You may know him from the Office as Michael's boss. Awesome right!

Blending Basics

1) Bananas peeled, then frozen. (No need to cut them, they break apart easily when frozen.)
2) Green and red grapes.
3) Fuji apples
4) Pineapple cut into chunks then frozen.
5) Agave (always optional)

I have never had these together where they tasted bad. If you want to use your blender more often, I recommend you but these all from Costco to get started. This is a great base to work with for many reasons. My two favorite reasons are 1) because it's a light yellow, so it's very easy to add new colors to it and make it appealing to the eye. 2) It tastes great with nearly every fruit added to it or any of the magic veggies (Yellow squash, zucchini, spinach, carrots).

Why am I so about smoothies besides the fact that it's healthy?

Easy clean up! I make my smoothie and before I start drinking it I rinse my blender thoroughly, and I'm done with clean up. And every once in a while I'll put water and soap in it, blend on high then rinse it! That's it. Can we spell easy?!? E-A-S-Y!

Passionate Purple

I only say that because I'm so in love with this drink right now.

2 cups red grapes or table grapes
1 fuji apple
1 frozen banana
4 chunks frozen pineapple (about 1/8 of a large pineapple)
1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
Agave (Optional)

Place in blender in order, blend on high for 2 min. with vita mix and sever immediately.

Yummy! Enjoy, makes about 24 oz.

Tinkerbell

This smoothie is for Sydney because I heard she wanted to be Tinkerbell this year for Halloween! Plus, it's the same lime green color. Ha ha.

1 1/2 cups green grapes
1 Fuji apple
1 zucchini
1 frozen banana
3 chunks frozen pineapple
1-2 Tbs. agave
1 slice of lime 2 millimeters thick, including the skin. (Optional for adults, leave it out for kids to keep it only sweet. For adults Tinkerbell is bitter sweet. Ha ha.)

Makes about 24 oz.

Love you guys!

Just Peaches

Just like my life is just peaches so is my smoothie...Seriously, Take 4 ripe peaches from the refrigerator (cooled), pit them, blend them in the vita mix on high for about 30 seconds or so. It's just peaches. MMMMMMMMM. Tasty.

1 lesson learned from this: Keep it simple and easy when getting started, you'd be surprised how good it really is.

October 03, 2011

I want to eat healthy, How do I get started?

By popular demand from friends and family. This is the most common question I get.

1) I think the most important part of getting started is to HAVE FUN WITH IT! That's right, have fun discovering the new food possibilities. If you screw up a smoothie, so what? It's not a big deal and you've learned something from it. Use small portions when experimenting. Try 3 or 4 different fruits at a time, not 20. Keep it simple and easy on yourself. This can be a fun experience, not a pain. So have fun with it. Pull out that old dusty blender you've been meaning to use, try that fruit or vegetable you've been thinking about. You might find something new that you like! Learn to love new healthy foods. Eating healthy doesn't have to taste bad, if you know what to make. How do you know what to make? LEARN what to make. Michael and I have had a lot of fun looking up new recipes and trying them to see what we like. So allow yourself to enjoy this process.

2) Read The China Study. This will reshape and motivate you more than anything else. Educating yourself on the health benefits is one of the most important parts in my opinion. You need an important reason to make the change.

3) Allow yourself a splurge meal. You don't have to convert to complete vegan all at once, or even vegetarian. When we were getting started we allowed ourselves 1 splurge meal a week. If that's too quick for you, then allow your self two or three a week, but start somewhere. Wherever is reasonable for you, but cut out more of the bad meals and replace a few of them with the good ones.

4) Start leaving your blender on the kitchen counter. If you're worried about children, keep it unplugged. This will remind you to used it more often. Don't starve yourself or miss meals, this is the wrong way to loose weight. Eat healthy meals which include a lot of fruit. Blend it up. Have fun!

5) Be willing to build your tolerance and to train your mind to like healthy foods. Being healthy is a lifestyle change, not a diet. Don't overwhelm yourself by putting too many veggies in at first w/o building your tolerance. Sometimes things don't taste really good at first but you can train yourself to get used to it if you start small with the veggies and work your way up. Use the natural sweeteners and the 4 suggested veggies in my previous blog to help with this. Just because I said eating healthy doesn't have to taste bad, doesn't mean that every meal will be just peaches (which is delicious too). ha ha.

6) When you're ready, invest in a Vita Mix and a Breville Juice Fountain Plus. The answer is NO, they do NOT do the same thing. If you want fresh orange, grape, carrot, or apple juice, it is NOT the same in a vitamix. If you want a smoothie, the juicer is the wrong machine to use. I say get both. Michael and I use them BOTH, on average, once a day, which adds up to a lot of healthy meals. That's right, meals, sometimes I'll juice my meal and just drink a bunch of apple juice. Delicious!

7) Got to Costco and buy all the fruits and veggies you like to eat in bulk. Then you eat them. Eat as many fruits you want raw. This requires far less prep time and zero cook time. Don't burden yourself with cooking. That's right, just slice, dice, and serve. The kids will eat it. Michael and I buy 3 LARGE watermelons when we got to Costco and we eat it all. Sometimes we'll cut up nothing but watermelon and eat that for dinner. Sometimes I like to eat 2 big mangoes cut up plain. Yummy!

Anyway, This is how I got started. I'm about 95% vegan. (With the exception of Hawaii.) I've been doing this for about 3 or 4 months now. When I'm on this diet, I don't get migraines, headaches, or nausea, all of which I used to have before. I tire less quickly and feel like exercising more! I have less emotional anxiety than I used to...Basically, I'm all around happier when I eat this way.

WARNING: For those who plan to make the change quickly.

After Michael and I read the China Study we decided to make the change quickly for the sake of our health. If you decide to do this, it's like ripping off the band aid instead of peeling it. When you change to this diet your body WILL detox and heal it's self. This process lasts about 3-4 days which is the hard part, but then you feel so much better. If you do it slowly the symptoms are less prominent to undetectable, this might be the best approach for you.

*Michael's Extras:
If you're really interested in getting started, you can purchase the exact same products we've used (and still use) to help expedite your healthy-body transformation!

I recommend you buy the following:
The China Study
Vita Mix
Breville Juice Fountain Plus

After reading The China Study, we bought these items and have never looked back!

Q&A with Breann

I know you all have been DYING to get an interview with me and how I eat and how I'm so famous. So I decided I'll be generous and give you the food part. ha ha.

Breann, What vegetables taste good in my smoothie?

Spinach, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots. These are the least detectable vegetables you can put in your smoothies. I recommend starting off with 1 vegetable at a time a small amount in your smoothie. Then slowly build up your tolerance level to more veggies to fruit in your drink.

What should I use to sweeten my smoothie if I'm not used to the vegetables yet?

Don't ever use sugar in your smoothies again! No longer are we oppressed by such bad foods of the devil! Behold, we have discovered natural sweeteners! Here's what they are: Agave! (You can get organic at Costco, a couple Tbs and you're good to go. This is my favorite), Dates! (A couple of these do the trick.) These are great options for those getting started!

Why frozen pineapple and how do you prepare it?

Michael and I probably have 4 frozen cut up pineapples in our freezer. Here's how we cut it after we've cut the skin and head off. (That sounds gruesome, ha ha) Put pineapple on it's side and cut into 4 even slices (If it's a small pineapple 3 slices), then cut each slice into 6 pieces. Michael likes to cut the slice in 1/2 then two perpendicular, but you can do it anyway you want. Frozen pineapple is a great way to get started! It requires no ice! It tastes great in nearly everything I've tried, especially if you're looking for a little zing, or something interesting in your smoothie! Go crazy!

Why frozen bananas? Is it easy to prepare?

Michael and I usually buy 2-4 banana bunches at Costco and freeze them. They break apart really easily when frozen, so don't worry about cutting them down to a certain size, you can just break what you want. If you're trying to go healthy and you have a blender (I recommend the Vita-mix. It's simply the best!) I HIGHLY recommend buying lots of bananas and freezing them. They are great is so many different smoothie recipes and it's a great replacement for yogurt. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT EVER put yogurt in your smoothies ever again. Especially because yogurt isn't that sweet and it has a tricky flavor to work with anyway. Bananas are a reliable, creamy, and sweet flavor. You'd really be doing your-self a favor if you add a banana because it's creamy and healthier. Also, you don't have to water down your delicious smoothie with ice! Just use frozen fruit!

Thanks for humoring me! ha ha.

Pretty in Pink Smoothie

Once again, so easy, so healthy, so yummy. What more could I ask for? Recipe:

1 1/2 cups red grapes
1 fuji apple
1 frozen banana
3 chunks of frozen pineapple. (3 chunks is considered 1/8 of a large pineapple cut up. See frozen pineapple for more details)
1 tbs Agave (Optional)
1/2 of yellow squash depending on size (Optional)

Add to blender in order, blend on high for 2 min. Done! Breakfast is served for 1!

Enjoy your breakfast! xoxo!

My Hash Browns

One of my new favorite comfort foods.

2 Golden potatoes
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of chopped red onions
Olive oil
1-2 teaspoons of garlic salt (optional)

Shred potatoes, chop onions and garlic. Put olive oil, onions, garlic, garlic salt in pan on high and saute. When finished, mix with shredded potatoes. Strongly oil a non-stick large frying pan and place potato mixture in pan, heat to med-high. Flip when you feel it's cooked on the other side, and let the new side golden, then serve. Serves 1 person and you don't need ketchup! That's right, it's good all by it's-self! You're welcome. ;)

Chilean salad recipe

This was inspired by my Dads Chilean salad recipe. It's really easy and similar, but you don't have to blanch the onions.

1 avocado
1 giant tomato
2-3 tablespoons chopped red onions
dash of garlic salt

Chop ingredients into large bite size chunks, and red onions into 1/4 inch chunks. Place all ingredients in bowl add garlic salt and mix. Then you're done. Feeds 1 person a small meal, or a side dish for 2.

Yummy portobello mushrooms!

Another yummy vegan recipe for you guys! Heat oven to 250 degrees. Then you'll need to make My Salsa! This is really easy and you can alter the recipe. Besides that all you'll need portobello mushrooms (1 per person), 1 avocado, and olive oil. Prepare salsa, then spray with cooking oil casserole dish. Cut off stems of mushrooms then wash. Place is casserole dish with the tops touching the bottom in order to form a bowl. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil inside each mushroom. Then fill with salsa and bake in over for 20-25 minutes. While baking prepare avocados in beautiful slices for a garnish. When mushrooms are done place sliced avocados on top and serve immediately! Micheal even like this and he hates mushrooms.

The Fruitarian

For the past few months, roughly 95% of Breann and my diet has consisted of raw fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Today I found a video about a "Fruitarian" who runs 100 miles in a day very frequently (yes, 100 miles) just by eating raw fruits (for fuel) and veggies. To me, this guy is very inspiring and I look forward to seeing my body continue to transform in a very good way. Check him out:

I know the Word of Wisdom states to "eat meat sparingly." I know that. But I also know that over the past few months I've felt better than ever and that eating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains have completely turned my eating habits around. I really don't crave junk/processed food anymore and that's something I can live with. I'm not saying that I am going to eating 100% fruits, vegetables, and whole grains for the rest of my life...just 95% of it. :) Hope you enjoy the video and are inspired to change the way you eat and that you receive all the fantastic benefits that Breann and I get every day!

Hunger Games and Twilight!

For the Hunger Games Fans out there! I am in love with these books, maybe even more so than Twilight! And for those of you that know me, it's a very big deal to me to beat that, Ha ha. Anyway, Enjoy the teaser trailer!

For those of you that do know the books, The role of Johanna Mason is still up for grabs. I would love to be that little bag of sass and to mouth off to Katniss! ha ha.

Breaking Dawn aka the next Twilight! I'm also excited to see this. Enjoy.

Salsa, Black Bean Hummus, Guacamole, and Bean Dip!

These 4 recipes coming up have become my new vegetarian comfort foods!!! I love eating healthy.

This delicious Salsa serves about 3 people as a meal, or 7-10 people as an appetizer. This is a great mild, or base salsa. If you wish for something spicy, simply add spicy ingredients desired or more garlic. I prefer to eat this with Costco's Kirkland organic corn chips.

Salsa:
2 giant Tomatoes, chopped
1 thin slice of Red Onion
1 clove Garlic (minced)
7-10 stems of Parsley leaves
7-10 stems of Cilantro leaves
1/2 Lemon, juices
1/2 Lime, juices
Dash of Garlic Salt

Chop up ingredients to desired size, place in a large mixing bowl, and mix. Then You're done! Super nummy, Super healthy. Michael and I had this last night along with my Black Bean Hummus. Also, delicious with Kirkland organic corn chips.

Hummus:
1 can of Black Beans
1 clove Garlic (minced)
Dash of Garlic Salt

Drain Beans and save the juices in separate bowl and set aside. Pour beans into vita mix. Add clove of minced garlic to vita mix and a dash of Garlic Salt. Return to bowl of bean juice and add half the juices into the vita mix, and discard the rest. Blend in vita mix on variable speed going no faster than a 4 or 5. Blend until texture is like typical re-fried beans.

1 note about beans, they are interchangeable for with other beans such as Kidney Beans and Red Beans. Some are just a little blander than others. So play with it and have fun! The other day I mixed Kidney Beans, and Black Beans together and it was great.

My guacamole! This is my pride and joy, and has become a very dear friend to my heart, aka my main comfort food. ha ha. Anyway, This is my BASE guacamole.

Guacamole:
3 Avocados
7-10 stems of Parsley leaves
7-10 stems of Cilantro leaves
1/2 Lemon, juices
Dash of Garlic Salt

Put Avocados, Lemon juice, and garlic salt in Vita Mix along with already chopped Parsley and Cilantro. Blend on variable speed going no higher than a 4. Blend until desired consistency in reached. That's it! Best served with Kirkland organic corn chips from Costco!

Add these ingredients if you want to spice up your guacamole a little, it's still mild, but more interesting.

1 thin slice of Red Onion, chopped
1 clove Garlic (minced)
1/2 giant Tomato, chopped

Blend chopped onions and minced garlic in with the guacamole mixture, but not the tomatoes. Chop tomatoes and STIR into guacamole mixture after blending is done! Then you're done! Yay!

And now for the finale! And you didn't think there could be more!!!

Breann's Bean Dip:

Layer my Hummus doubled, Guacamole, then Salsa!

Here are more specific instructions: Double hummus recipe, Pour into 8x6 casserole dish, Cool in refrigerator for a few hours, covered. Then make the BASE guacamole, and layer that over hummus softly with spatula, DO NOT STIR OR MIX TOGETHER! You want the layers. Then use about half of my base salsa and layer that over the guacamole. Done!

Then you have super yummy, super healthy, vegetarian bean dip! This is a lovely appetizer for about 8-12 people. Or just a yummy meal for 3 or 4.

Testimonials:

"I think this is the best bean dip I have ever had." -Daniel Johnson

(And a personal note, he's the picky eater of the family. You can't beat that! Healthy AND delicious.)

If any of you are wondering why I've been eating so healthy lately, read The China Study, by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. Believe me, you'll start changing the way you eat too!!! ha ha. Enjoy your food and may you all be healthy!

My Awesome Salad!

So the other day I made this really yummy salad that's easy. Super healthy and natural. The apples in it were a HUGE hit, My big 5 qt. metal bowl filled to the top was all eaten. Anyway, enough talk, let's eat.

Salad:
1 1/2 heads of Romain Lettuce
2 large handfuls of Spinach
1 large giant Tomato
1 Fuji Apple

Wash all produce. Chop Romain into bite size pieces and place in bowl. Dice the Tomatoes and the Apples into about 1/2 inch cubes. Place Spinach, Apples, and tomatoes in bowl. Mix.

Dressing:
1 cup basic Italian Dressing
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1 Lemon
7-10 stems of Parsley
4-5 stems of Cilantro

Chop Parsley and Cilantro into tiny pieces. Michael showed me a great trick of using our nut chopper to accomplish this much faster than with a knife. Squeeze all the Lemon juice into a bowl. Add Italian Dressing, Olive Oil, Parsley, and Cilantro to Lemon bowl and whisk.

Pour dressing over the salad mixture and toss. Then you're done! It's delicious and healthy.

Yummy smoothie

ok this recipe is so easy and simple and delicious that I had to blog about it.

8 fresh strawberries
1/2 fresh yellow squash
1/2 fresh large carrot (about 4-5 baby carrots) (optional)
1 1/2 frozen banana

Chop quash, break carrots (if not baby size) and bananas in smaller parts for easier blending. Put items in vita mix in the listed order. Blend on high for about a minute. Feel container as time passes to make sure it's not warming up to much. Friction from vita mix can cook! We want our smoothie cold.

This tastes like strawberry banana something goodness! I've had it for breakfast for like 4 days now. With out the carrots makes 1 glass exactly. Enjoy your breakfast.

We hope you had a wonderful birthday today!

Happy Birthday to two very awesome people in our lives!

And the award goes to:

Sydney Elton and Matthew Johnson!

Happy Birthday we love you!

Vita Mix is da Bomb!

Let me tell you what I ate yesterday. This is based on the China Study which means you eat mostly plant based foods. Here it goes:

Raisins in oatmeal, 12 baby carrots, 2 oranges, 1 bananas, plus ice. That was breakfast and part of lunch. Tortilla soup was the other part of lunch:

A small portion in all of these as a tortilla soup recipe:
1 carrot (a regular carrot, not a baby carrot)
1 stalk of celery
1 small wedge of green cabbage
A slice of Red Pepper (don’t forget the seeds!)
1/2 inch slice each of zucchini and yellow squash
3-4 Large Roma Tomatoes (a much better flavored tomato is the Campari – 6-8 small or 4-5 large ones)
Cilantro to taste (I use the leaves off of 2 stems in a show)
A medium clove of garlic
2-3 shakes of “Blend-It-Up Spice Mix” (coupon code 15244 at BlendItUp.com gets you a 20% discount)
A Bullion Cube from a health food store that is MSG – free
A 1 inch cube cheese (Monterey Jack or Cheddar are good)
Small wedge of lemon
1-2 dates
A pinch of sun dried tomatoes

Then some black beans, corn, and a small amount of chicken.

Then I had this drink by the vita mix lady: This lady had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome cured herself by changing her diet.

Here's the recipe which I had HALF of for dinner with Michael:

1-2 Cups of Green Grapes
1/4 of a large Pineapple or 1/3 of a small Pineapple
One whole large Banana
Half of an Apple
2 big hand fulls of Spinach (at a show I add a touch of Kale and Parsley too)
2 cups of Ice

We added a slice of zucchini and yellow squash for fun and you can't taste it, because it's one of the Magic 5 Veggies! Check it out! WHAT?!?

Then our avocados were close to going bad so we made guacamole. Inside we put, 2 avocados, 1 tomato, cilantro again! (This stuff is so good for you!). Garlic salt to taste. I ate a little more than half of this with Michael with a few tortilla chips. Super yummy! That was my dinner and I was full.

Ok so, Here's my point:

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A LOT OF FOOD?!?!? It seems like a lot but when I blend it up in my vita mix I'm eating nothing but raw natural foods that are so good for me. It doesn't feel like a lot of food. I feel like I have more energy and my skin is a little softer than normal. Good Benefits!!! Everything except for the oatmeal I made in my vita mix! Also, Back to the China Study, these are all plant based foods except for blend it up mix, bullion cube, cheese, and chicken. These total around less than 5% of my intake for the day.

Here's my point super shortened:

Vita Mix is da Bomb!

To read more about the wonderful benefits these foods have to offer you please browse the Rebecca Wood website. You can find on the "About" page that this woman obtained cancer, then cured her cancer by CHANGES IN HER DIET! So much for incurable. Some have said incurable means curable from within and I side with them. Thanks for reading! Be healthy!

Hunger Games - Johanna Mason

Ok, so they cast Clove already which I'm cool with only because it was the girl who played Orphan. Any girl who can creep me out that much just from a preview deserves this role. On the other hand, I would make a better Johanna Mason anyway. I like her better too. I guess I just really wanted to be in the first film, but I'll settle for the next two that come out instead. View my website on the news feed page for the full shabang if you're not educated on the book or characters yet to learn more. For those of you that are sufficiently educated, what do you think of me being Johanna Mason from the Hunger Games?

Would you just look at it!

I find this guy pretty funny.

Look at it...and he had to look at that...and said look at this...then he said look at this...the last time he said look at this...would you look at that...look at this...

Lights Out at Church Today

So...

Breann and I show up for church as usual, with 2 dozen cookies we made this morning for our Sunday School class, just to find out that some drunkard had run his/her car into a power line outside and shut the power off of our building. We ended up singing a few songs, hearing the announcements, and partaking of the sacrament. Church lasted 35 min. today. It was pretty crazy!

Mother's Day

Breann and I are extremely grateful for our mothers. We have been blessed to have mothers that love and care about us very much. We are appreciative of the many long years they sacrificed in making our lives important and meaningful and we love them very much for that. We love you all! Also to all the other mothers, such as our grandparents and sister-in-laws, we wish you a happy mothers day as well.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOXOXOXOXOXO

Lots of love,

Michael 'n' Breann

Breann Johnson IS Clove from The Hunger Games

So...the other day I found this fan-based website about Breann and how she should be Clove from The Hunger Games. Here's a link: The Hunger Games - Fan Site. Below is a screenshot from the website. We're hoping that because the role for Clove hasn't been cast yet, that this site will attract an audience and much larger fan base for Breann. We'll see.

So I've been producing for this project called "Noir" and they're going to give me a role in the film which will FINALLY get me into SAG. YAY! For more details on the production see my website and look at my news feed. Anyway, I think I want to be an Actor/Producer considering that producing is getting me into films. lol. I'm ultimately producing for the roles I get in return. lol.

Happy Birthday William

Come back in a few years and read this. (I say a "few" because if Michael Scott couldn't even talk by age 5...and you're a smart kid...you'll be able to read this).

Happy Birthday.

The Hunger Games Casting

So they had someone in mind the whole time for the role of Katniss Everdeen to give to. They let out submissions as a safety net in case she didn't want the role. I guess she took it. Don't ask me who it was, but you can morn with me over my emotional loss considering the was the forefront of my efforts to months and the role was reserved for someone else the whole time. I'm feeling upset about it and I'd love your sympathies. I'm still going to go for Clove though and if not that, then later I'm going for Joanna Manson. I could still do both of those parts.

It's Offical!

I am represented by Byron L. Perkins from Starwil Talent Agency. So happy about it. They seem on top of things and very quick to answer my e-mails. They also just submitted me to Hunger Games for Katniss today. This is my best shot at getting an audition. Pray for me. I want this audition to badly! I've literally done everything I can do. The rest is up to casting directors and Heavenly Father!

Snowing in LA?

Ok so this morning when I (Michael) took out the dog...it started to hail. It was probably the first time I've ever seen that much "snow-like" material in Southern California. It was so cool that I rushed into the house yelling, "Breann, breann, put on your shoes and come outside!"...

Long story short, she didn't come outside but looked out the window instead.

Longer story shorter...it was cool.

Hi Guys, I've been really stressed out recently and I'd really appreciate it if you kept me in your prayers. I feel really unsuccessful and depressed. I don't really want to talk about it, but I just wanted to let all my family know. I've been working really hard and I feel like it's time for me to have some success even if it's small. Please pray for me to figure out what it is that I could be doing better to progress to the next step in my career. Thank you.

Submission

Today I'm submitting a head shot and resume to a manager with a referral from a casting director, Sara Wallace who is Will Wallaces wife. She's seen me in action in class especially my recent work and she's going to refer me to a manager. This is the most promising and valid referral I could have at this point. I'm really hoping that this one works out well. Cross you fingers for me. I really need a good manager to help me get my career started.

Hunger Games Audition

The role of Katniss Everdeen opened up again on IMDBpro, so keep praying for me to get an audition for that role. I guess it really was a rumor! Thank you. xoxo!

The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen Update

So, Sally got a hold of one of the casting directors there at Debra Zane casting and told me to e-mail them my demo reel, and I did the long one because it's more suited for the role. The Lady said that they had JUST begun sorting through the submissions so I'm not behind the game at all, but I just need someone to pitch me to them really well, so I can for sure get an audition. The photos on the previous post I'd say are more than sufficient to prove that I have the look. My demo reel shows that I can act, I've customized my resume for the role, and I'm going to have Dawn (a manager) call to attempt to pitch me too. I'm out of ideas that I could do to get me an audition. Do you guys have any other ideas? I'll do just about anything.

The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen Inspiration

I was inspired to get some character shots of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games. I will be mailing the last shot to the casting director today, hopefully with a phone call from a manager I know. Please pray for me to get an audition and for them to truly consider me for the part. This role would change my life for the better and I would love to have my chance to shine for them. Thank you for your support.

The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen

I have been searching the internet and came upon this website with this post:
Lionsgate Will Consider Unknown Talent. It's about The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins which is now being created into a movie. Director Gary Ross and casting director Debra Zane have declared they will consider "unknown actors" for the lead roles. I believe that I am Katniss Everdeen! I exude both fierce independence and vulnerability. Martial arts training has sculpted my small physique. I sing, and I know how to handle a bow and arrow. I feel confident that I would deliver a solid performance when given the opportunity of an audition. If you know Gary or Debra please send me an e-mail johnson.breann@gmail.com or call me (213) 394-5219 in regards to this.
